Amy is a lifetime athlete who has competed in many sports (softball, track and field, gymnastics and skiing) since a young age. Soccer was an early passion for Amy, playing for the University of Vermont in college, and coaching numerous youth soccer teams. While training for soccer, Amy fell in love with running and began to compete in short distance races. Shortly after, her love of running inspired her to tackle longer distances and to run her first marathon in 2000. Since then, Amy has completed 6 stand-alone marathons. In 2007, Amy decided to expand into the sport of triathlon. After successfully completing many shorter-distance triathlons, Amy successfully completed her first Ironman in 2016.
Amy discovered through her training and coaching that she has a passion for helping people reach their athletic goals. For her it is incredibly rewarding to help athletes achieve something they didn’t believe was possible. Amy also understands the special challenges of training and competing with chronic illnesses. After being diagnosed with Addison’s Disease, a life - threatening medical condition, when she was 18 and Hashimoto’s disease, Amy learned how to develop and execute a training plan that helped balance her medical challenges while still achieving her goals.
Amy looks forward to helping athletes of all ages and capabilities achieve their goals!
